About the Item

Daniela Astone Scilla 100 x 70 Charcoal on paper framed the size is 120 x 90 with museum glass Daniela Astone works and lives in Florence. For years she was a teacher on the famous Florence Art Academy. Since 2022 she fulltime works as a painter. Her works are all around the world in great collections. For our exhibition 'A Female Gaze' Daniela Astone made a series of paintings where the female aspect of her life is the main subject. This series contains a series of seven paintings where you see a dancing couple. Female- male couples and male-male/ female-female couples. The Currator of Galerie Bonnard says about the paintings by Daniela Astone: The classical structure and narrative paintings show a technique that is special. Her style is virtuoso and her subjects narrative. The keys are loose and subtle. For this artist, standing in front of a painting means watching a story, admiring the handwriting and getting lost in the many attractive places in the work. In her works she tries to capture her dreams, express her inner struggles and doubts about what life and being an artist brings her. The classical symbols, for example a large antique head, could be seen as the basis from which every artist must learn. Dancing around the base can be seen as searching and playing at the same time. The dancing couples tell stories of relationships, how we dance around each other and try to reach each other by doing that. Our art will be shipped for free. In a wooden crate like we show on the last picture. If you would like some additional information or pictures feel free to contact us, we will be happy to help.
