Marjolein 76 x 26 x 15 cm Bronze The theme van der Kraan likes most is to show the growing of young girls. Living in their own world. Like this girl watching something she likes. The narrative sculptures show 'the woman' and 'the girl' withdrawn into 'the self'. The posture, the dress, the look, everything contributes to showing the vulnerability in the transition from girl to woman. The sculpture and statue are both made in bronze.
