About the Item

Man and Donkey is a modern artwork by Gabriele Galantara (1865-1937) in the early 20th century. The artwork was realized in mixed media of ink and white lead on paper. Included a Passepartou: 35 x 50 cm Good conditions and aged. Gabriele Galantara  (1865-1937). He was a journalist and one of the leading Italian caricaturists and cartoonists. "The Donkey" weekly magazine published in 1892 of which Galantara signed the illustrations, met the favor of the public. The aim of the satire was episodes of political malfeasance.
