Cover for "L'Asino" is an original China Ink, tempera and watercolor artwork realized by Gabriele Galantara.
This is the cover of the donkey magazine of June 21, 1908, in good conditions, with some white stains, and pencil notes on the margins and on the back of the cardboard.
Gabriele Galantara (1865-1937) was a journalist and one of the leading Italian caricaturists and cartoonists.
"The donkey" weekly magazine published in 1892 of which Galantara signed the illustrations, met the favor of the public. The aim of the satire were episodes of political malfeasance.
