The Boots is an original artwork realized by Henry Wormser in 1952. Mixed media on cardboard (tempera, China ink and watercolor).
Hand-signed and dated by the artist on the upper right margin.
Excellent conditions.
The artwork represents a still life with boots; the technique is a combination of tempera, china ink and watercolor and the contrasts are very strong. The colors are lively and bright and the whole composition expresses a great sense of energy.
Henry Wormser (1909) was a French painter. He lived and worked in Paris, France. He belonged to the generation of modernist artists of the 'École de Paris'. The artist was the pupil of J. Villon, and exposed at the Salon de Mai and at the Salon des Indépendants.
