Landscape is an original drawing divided in 2 in watercolor and graphite on paper, realized by Louis-Charles Willaume. Signed on the back with the stamp of "Atelier L.WILLAUME. The state of preservation of the artwork is good. The artwork represents the landscape of the bridge through quick pencil strokes, demonstrates the potential mastery of the artist to express the natural beauty of the landscape perfectly. Louis-Charles Willaume (1874-1949), is a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. A pupil of the painters William Bouguereau and Gabriel Ferrier, he received the prize from the Société des Paysagistes, then in 1923, the Corot prize. In 1929, he won the gold medal in the Engravings Section. With Maurice Achener, he collaborated actively with the publishing house of the Société de Saint-Eloy which published in the 1930s the series of "Small towns of France". He is the author of more than 500 etchings, an important collection of which is kept in the Prints Department of the BNF. the Musée d'Orsay has his painting entitled Le Pont des Saints-Pères. A street bears his name in Bois-Colombes.
