A very fine watercolour by the artist M. F. Thomas, depicting a small boat with two figures fishing in the river in Zlarin, Croatia. The artist has employed a delicate and considered technique, with a light palette and subtle reflections in the surface of the river. Here the artist has captured an expressive view of the peaceful Croatian countryside with gentle colour applications and panoramic composition.
Exquisitely presented within a card mount and an excellent gilt effect frame, as shown. Signed in the lower right hand corner.
