Portait of a woman realized in a fresh and elegant style realized by the Michel Simonidy (Bucharest, 1870 - Paris,1933) was a Romanian painter, designer and decorator of Greek ancestry who worked in the Art Nouveau style.

Michel Simonidy
Michel Simonidy, an artist active in France, was a painter of historical subjects, genre scenes, figures, nudes, portraits, landscapes and still life. He used to realize the works in gouache, watercolor, pastels as well as illustrations. He was one of the pupils of Léon Bonnat, Fernand Humbert and Gabriel Ferrier and obtained the mention at the Universal Exposition in 1889 and a silver medal at the Universal Exposition of 1900. Simonidy became Chevalier of the Honour Legion in 1901.
