"A Sense of Balance" - Figurative Harlequin Clown Watercolor on Heavy Paper Watercolor of three clowns by Sefla Joseph (Canadian, 20th Century). Three clowns are standing closely together, with arms and legs intertwined. They are dressed in bright colors, primarily red, orange, and green. One of the clowns is playing a lute or mandolin. Signed "Sefla Joseph" (twice) in the lower right corner. Presented in a blonde wood frame with a new off-white mat. Frame size: 28"H x 21"W Paper size: 22"H x 15"W Sefla Joseph is a figurative abstract artist who grew up in Montreal, Canada. She now paints and teaches in Santa Cruz, California. Her work is exhibited internationally. Of her art, she says, it is her hope that her paintings will connect those who view them with the compassion in their own hearts and remind us all of our connection to each other.
