About the Item
Late 20th Century watercolour on paper of a naked female figure before an open window. Signed bottom right but as yet not deciphered. Presented in carved, white painted wood frame.
The artist has used a limited colour palette, blues and russets to great effect. The position of the subject, her long hair and coy pose before the light of a window.
No doubt inspired by some of the similar compositions of Matisse and his Odalisques.
