A R Quinton (1853-1934) – Alfred Robert Quinton New College Bell Tower, Oxford Signed lower left Watercolour 25x17cm Between 1904 and his death over 2000 of Quinton’s paintings were published. Well known for his paintings of landscapes and townscapes of Britain many of his paintings were produced as postcards during the postcard craze of the first decade of the twentieth century; numerous views of Oxford were featured. We have not yet been able to identify a postcard derived from this particular view.
