About the Item
A landscape depicting figures by a campfire on the edge of the woods, possibly the Norwood Gypsies which the artist frequently painted. Presented glazed in a wash line mount with gilt-effect detailing and an ornate wooden frame with a reeded inner edge and a gold finish. Unsigned. There is a label attached to the verso which includes the attribution and appears to have been cut from previous backing paper. On watercolour paper.
