Bright New England watercolor by New Hampshire artist Eileen Belanger (American, 20th C.)
A brightly colored garden in pastels fills a cornflower blue sky with a pond reflected below.
Signed "Eileen Belanger '98" in the bottom right hand corner.
Presented in a white double-layered mat and a gold frame.
Frame size: 16.75"H x 21"W
Image size: 7.5"H x 11.75"W
Eileen has gained increasing recognition for her original, detailed paintings of New England scenes inspired by her love of nature and her surroundings.
Her paintings may include scenes from her life in New Hampshire, a visit to towns on Cape Cod and the Islands or her international travels. Eileen hopes to bring a sense of comfort to the viewer by painting familiar objects and scenes with a strong emphasis on light and shadow. She has garnered many awards at New England art exhibits and has also established an exceptional reputation for her exquisite murals throughout New England and the East Coast as well as her animal and house portraits.
Eileen lives in a 1908 cider mill. The Cider Mill Gallery is her studio, gallery and home. She is a member of the NH Art Association, Center for the Arts and the NH Plein Air Association. Eileen also exhibits her paintings at the annual League of NH Craft Fair at Mt. Sunapee, NH.
Cider Mill Gallery is open by appointment only at this time.
