French Impressionist watercolour on paper view of a beach and marine scene by Henri Clamen. Though not signed the painting was acquired from the atelier of the artist with other signed works.
A charming view of people enjoying a moment on a beach in a cove, small boats just by them on the sand, the rocks in the distance and beyond them the blue of the sea. Clamen's light, free, impressionist style and his use of colour gives a vivacity and movement to the composition. A little jewel of a painting.
