About the Item
Contemporary watercolor painting on paper by Polish artist Wlodzimierz Karczmarzyk. Artwork depicts some kind of a river or different water body with trees reflecting on its surface. Main colors are green, gray and yellow. Artwork's style is sketch-like but realistic at the same time.
WŁODZIMIERZ KARCZMARZYK (born in 1930) Painter and an architect. He studied at KUL in Lublin, Academy of Fine Arts and University of Technology in Warsaw. Long-term professor of drawing, painting and sculpture at the Warsaw University of Technology. He illustrated and lavishly decorated with series of Polish and world’s cities his own articles in the magazine of Polish Airlines “LOT” called “Kaleidoscope” (1994-1998). He is a member of SARP and ZPAP. He was awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta for his achievements in the field of architecture and fine arts.
