About the Item
Moving Forward is a maquette created as a preliminary inspirational small model for a large painting. It references the last four years of my life. Losing my 25-year-old grandson Noah and then my husband Elliott six months later dramatically changed my existence. Having to move out of our beautiful home we designed and built 55 years ago incorporating my incredible studio was beyond devastation. My work became my catharsis enforcing the journey and goal to conquer grief and struggle, stay strong and accept dramatic change. Moving Forward expresses my overwhelming feeling of never giving up.
