This drawing represents a group of putti depicted while they are intent in studying together the "quadrivium". The quadrivium consisted of arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy and they were four out of the seven Liberal Arts. Infact, the group of the sitting putti seem doing calculations while the standing ones are looking through a monocular.
This drawing is presumably an Academy study.
