Susan Morrison-Dyke's 35.25" x 23.5" (paper size) Oil on Paper painting uses the device of a window to illustrate the boundary between interior and exterior worlds. The view from the interior or exterior is ambiguous and allows the viewer to interpret their own desired orientation. "Fenway Studio Window personalizes the experience of working in my studio during the longest days of a world pandemic," says Morrison-Dyke. Susan Morrison-Dyke graduated with a BFA from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University and received the James William Paige Traveling Scholarship, a prestigious 5th Year graduate program award. Susan Morrison-Dyke's 'Silhouette', a 35.125" x 23.625" (paper size) oil on paper painting, uses the iconography and artifacts of modern life to blend the styles of Surrealism and Abstract Expressionism. The black silhouetted female figure interacts with lines and planes of bright color reminiscent of a street scene. Susan Morrison-Dyke graduated with a BFA from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University and received the James William Paige Traveling Scholarship, a prestigious 5th Year graduate program award.
