About the Item
A delicate watercolour study by the artist Franklin White (1892-1975), depicting a young woman resting beneath an apple tree. The subtle colours and delicate application of paint is typical of White's style, and gives a dream-like feel to the composition. Well presented in a washline mount and silver gilt effect frame. Signed.
To the reverse of the frame there are several labels and stickers. The largest from the studio sale of White's work, signed by the artist's wife Gertrude. A smaller card from the LAPADA and two small newspaper cuttings with a short biography.
On watercolour paper.
