About the Item

This work is typical of the artist’s pictorial production. The painter, graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Rome, has a traditional approach to painting both in the choice of subjects and in their realization. An He creates oil portraits in the pure tradition of Italian painting, but modernizes them by choosing to represent more modern elements in his compositions. This is a hyperrealistic portrait of a black woman. The composition of the portrait is quite classical, but the portrait is enriched by symbolic elements: the woman is equipped with angel wings, which give the portrait symbolic accents. A virtuoso of hyperrealism and portraiture, the expressions of his faces come to life thanks to the many shades that emphasize the texture of the skin. The finesse of his designs and the precision of his pictorial touch create an image of imperfect and fragile beauty that reflects our times. This work is sold frameless, signed and delivered with its certificate of authenticity.
