Abstractions, such as color, to me or or mood, don't really enter the fray. My work is purely about the line. My desire for animation within that static line keeps me working. When I draw, I enter a kind of therapeutic calm. My line is loose yet controlled; lively yet utterly still. My work is taciturn but still has to shout out. Afterall, that seems to me to be the nature of cities. - Patrick Vale
