French School circa 1900 Studies of characters, four drawings in a same frame Pencil on paper Sizes of the drawings (from left to right and from top to bottom) A couple at a table 6 x 5 cm A woman with a large hat : 7 x 4.3 cm A man spying a couple (?) : 6 x 5 cm Two men playing cards (slightly undulating) : 7 x 7.3 cm Framed (some wears in the gilding) : 42 x 58.5 cm These drawings have been attributed to the circle of Jacques Emile Blanche (1861-1942), it's an interesting suggestion as one can recognize the "Belle Epoque" spirit in these intriguing studies.
