Kenneth MacIntire is known for Landscape, horse genre, figure, portrait paintings. He also studied at the Fenway School of Illustration and the New School of Design. To finance his art schooling, he ran a mail boat for the Postal Service, delivering mail to the various Islands in Maine waters. He also got his first taste of the West when he went on a painting trip to the Colorado Rockies in 1922. After serving in the army in World War I, he opened a studio in Washington D.C. His work was featured on a House Beautiful magazine cover in 1920. While there he was commissioned to paint a portrait of a beloved family horse. Word spread and he was commissioned to do the same in California. Thus he moved there in 1930, first to Palm Springs, but eventually settling in Hollywood Hills. Polo playing...
