Pixel Heart (3/35) Figurative Sculpture with Three-Dimensional Glossy Red Heart
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Nayla Saroufim creates glossy balloon sculptures for display on a table or hanging on a wall or ceiling that challenge the traditional notion of the passive viewer. Saroufim's art is a rich mix of media. She was always captivated by the dialogue between painting, illustration, and graphics. Her work embodies her attraction to colors and interest in all forms of expression, especially installations. Her technique is unique and personalized: a fusion of mixed media and installations in layers of steel, copper, paint, and other elements. Saroufim strives to make her positivity and love of happiness appear in her art, sparking emotion and thoughts in viewers. This sculpture measures 17 inches high and 7 inches wide. It sits on a steel base which is 9 inches at its widest point. It is signed and numbered underneath the base. This sculpture is numbered 3 out of 35. This sculpture can be displayed easily on any flat surface and may be viewed from any vantage point. Free local Los Angeles delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and International shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Nayla Saroufim was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1982. She graduated from the Académie Lebanese des Beaux-Arts with a degree in Illustration and Art Direction. While working in the publicity field at several multinational advertising agencies, Saroufim began rekindling her interest in art. Creative, a dreamer, and a lover of color and beauty, Saroufim has been engaging in a creative expression of her personality through art for over a decade. She hopes that by looking at her art, people will realize that there is beauty and happiness in the simplest things. Nayla Saroufim’s work has graced the walls of solo exhibitions including a show in London in December 2015 and one in Beirut in October 2013. Her work has been exhibited at the Beirut Art Fair, in Singapore, and at Asia Contemporary Art. Artspace Warehouse Los Angeles has exhibited her sculptural artworks since 2020. "Ventaglio Earrings" a contemporary, fine gauge stainless steel earrings
Located in Morgan Hill, CA
Crafted by the brilliant mind of Taos, New Mexico based Jeweler/ Metal Smith, Julie Lake. The Ventaglio Earrings are a stunning pair of contemporary jewelry. Featuring layers of three-dimensional geometric lines with a long earring thread made from highly polished stainless steel wire. Bio Julie Lake hand fabricates her metal work exclusively from a spring tempered, fine gauge stainless steel. She uses an arc welding process at precise settings to join the metal by melting and fusing it together at the tiny joints. The nature of this stainless steel, along with the welding process, allows Lake to create complex and visually fragile, yet deceptively strong forms with very small diameter wires. Although the welding of steel is typically regarded as an industrial process, Lake likens her technique to the domestic act of sewing or knitting. By way of welding, she methodically and repetitively stitches together the threads of stainless steel which accumulate into larger forms. Her decision to only create with this very specific material is quite minimalistic, but Lake engages with the material with multidisciplinary intent. Her work spans from large scale art installation, to design-driven functional items, to wearable and decorative pieces rooted in fine craft. This multidisciplinary approach allows the individual pieces to cross-pollinate with and inform each other. Lake's training as a maker started at a very young age. Her father, Ron Lake, is a machinist who went on to establish a career creating fine folding knives...

"Trace Necklace " a contemporary, fine gauge stainless steel necklace
Located in Morgan Hill, CA
Crafted by the brilliant mind of New Mexico based jeweler, Julie Lake. The Trace Necklace is a visually delicate, yet deceptively strong, complex architectural necklace. Featuring layers of interwoven three-dimensional geometric and organic shaped links, created from highly polished stainless steel wire. This piece is best worn against bare skin or dark-colored clothing, which allows the piece to create contrast with the high polish and displays the intricacy of the design. Bio Julie Lake hand fabricates her metal work exclusively from a spring tempered, fine gauge stainless steel. She uses an arc welding process at precise settings to join the metal by melting and fusing it together at the tiny joints. All That Remains, Abstract Sculpture (Ceramic and Steel), 2020
Located in Boston, MA
Artist Commentary: I constructed this piece from the setters I used to fire the ceramic pieces of another sculpture along with some of the glaze test tiles. When I saw these "scraps" sitting together there was a visual harmony that suggested a new use for them. Keywords: abstract, welded metal, Artist Biography: Fred Klingelhofer, a primarily self-taught artist, grew up in a Chicago south side neighborhood. He received a BS degree in physics from Roosevelt University and worked as an engineer for 30 years. During those years he enrolled in art workshops and classes at a nearby community college completing courses in figure drawing, 2D and 3D design, ceramics, sculpting the figure, welding and metal sculpture. His focus has been on creating sculpture since 2006. Fred has exhibited his sculpture in a number of group exhibitions with Chicago Sculpture International, Art Prize (Grand Rapids, Michigan), Sculpture in the Park (St Charles, Illinois), Sculpture Walk Sioux Falls...

Antique Portrait of 6 Dogs on Porcelain by Maison Pichenot-Loebnitz ca. 1870s
Located in SANTA FE, NM
Antique and exceptionally rare and fine Portrait of 6 Dogs on Enameled Ceramic Maison Pichenot-Loebnitz France, ca. 1870. 25 x 8 (31 x 13 framed) inches This rectangular panel made of enameled ceramic was made by Jules Loebnitz in the second half of the 19th century depicts a suite of 6 very fine canines in a landscape setting. The Pichenot-Loebnitz factory was founded by Mr Pichenot, grandfather of Jules Loebnitz, in 1833. From 1841, Mr Pichenot created a new, innovative method of uncrackable earthenware panels for architectural mantels, winning a medal at the Exhibition of 1844. In 1857, Jules Loebnitz, an artist as much as an industrialist, became director of the factory. For his first major job, Loebnitz passionately collaborated with architect Félix Duban on the restoration of the Blois Castle, recreating the antique tiles of the mantelpieces. He then went to work with the most prominent architects of his times; Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, Laval, Charles Garnier, Just Lisch and Paul Sédille. A friendship was born in 1867 between Paul Sédille, the architect of the Printemps department stores and the Basilica of Bois-Chenu in Domrémy-la-Pucelle, and Jules Loebnitz that would lead to a tight, long-lasting professional, artistic, and intellectual collaboration. This was an important meeting between the theorist of polychrome architecture and the man who had pushed French ceramic art considerably forward, allowing for large, enameled earthenware plates decorated with very bright and long-lasting glass-like colors. Many architectural projects were born from the collaboration of Sédille and Loebnitz: World’s fair pavilions, apartment buildings, villas, hotels, and monuments. During the Great Exhibition of 1878, Paul Sédille created the door of the Palais des Beaux-arts, while Jules Loebnitz was in charge of the ceramic decoration of the facade. A reporter covering the 1878 World’s fair described the monumental door...

Not Today, Contemporary Black and White Photographic Print on Metal
Located in Boston, MA
Not Today, Contemporary Black and White Photograph, 2021 24" 16" x 0.75" (HxWxD) Digital Print on Aluminium Hand-signed by the artist. As with the concept of memento mori, this black and white photographic portrait brings together life and death in close proximity. The skull is held closely to the human's body, as if the bones now take the place of their own head. Taxidermy and preserved animal bones bring the living face-to-face with the fleeting nature of life, adding to our cabinet of curiosities. This work by Amanda Lomax conjures up thoughts of Georgia O'Keeffe and her time spent out west in New Mexico's desert landscape. Artist Commentary: Donald is a professional model, gem collector, and all around Renaissance Man. When we found this unusual skull of a three horned ram, it seemed as unique and special as he is. Sometimes we feel like facing the world head on. Sometimes we feel like presenting ourselves behind a three-horned sheep skull.

Ramp Figure, Bronze Sculpture, Black color by Modern Indian Artist "In Stock"
Located in Kolkata, West Bengal
K.S. Radhakrishnan - Ramp Figure Bronze Sculpture H 12.75 x W 7 x D 6 inches K.S. Radhakrishnan working with Musui & Maiya, Musui potraits has a hand Rickshaw puller as is still prevalent in few parts of Bengal. The bronze figures are elfin, mischievous, airy, acrobatic, and archaic, delicately balancing on one hand or leg. He renders a sensuous quality to his works by deploying extraordinary body movements of his figures. Radhakrishnan is a distinctive and appealing presence on the modern Indian sculpture scene. He says: “For me bronze works best because it is strong, and brings out the character of my sculptures. Although it takes time, the process also becomes a part of my art form.” Style : K.S Radhakrishnan is one of the most notable among the new generation of sculptors. Like many of his contempories he is a figurative sculptor, but his preference for modelling and bronze casting sets him apart from the rest of them. Recharging age old sculptural processes with a new sensibility, thus is the singular challenge he brings to modern Indian sculpture. And this makes him a modernist - who approaches his work with discernible ambition and considerable aplomb while steering clear of brinkmanship. Radhakrishnan's works often drawn from the emotions and myths of the Hindu gods, such as Shiva, Kali and Radha. His sculptures are often larger than life-sized; placed in the outdoors, they evoke a superhuman atmosphere. Over the years, Radhakrishnan has experienced with alternate sculpting mediums, working in molten bronze, beeswax and Plaster of Paris. The physical process of working with the materials becomes a performance in itself. The sculpture is the product of a tactile engagement with his medium. With celebration of sensuality as one of its running themes, his works is at once both intimate and universal in its appeal. A personal commemorative sculpture, with a scale and presence that holds well in natural settings, his work has found permanent home in a number of public collections all over the world.
