VW Beetle 1947 - Original Textured Colorful Car Line Art Original on Canvas
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Canadian artist Virginie Schroeder uses thick textural, playful lines, and other geometric forms to create works with subjects that are not immediately visible when seen up close. Verbal and psychological interplay with the public is integral to her creative process. Her art is the result of reflection, and aesthetic intuition provoked by the geometric forms. Her art exists to intrigue, to elicit questioning of its abstract character visible at first glance. One must draw away slightly to begin to glimpse the impressively detailed work in its totality. This original figurative pop art painting measures 28-inches high by 40-inches wide. It is an acrylic paint composition on canvas, it is wired and ready to hang. The sides of the artwork are painted by the artist and it does not require framing. It is signed by the artist on the bottom and back of the painting. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and global shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Virginie Schroeder is an innovative artist based in Quebec, Canada. She prefers things not to be visible immediately In order to perceive the works, the viewer must feel them and open up all of their senses in order to enjoy the emotion of the work. Schroeder urges the viewer to enter the work, allowing their emotions to be absorbed into its subject. Her paintings are made to inspire new artistic visions while impressing their stunning technicality to the public. Schroeder seeks an invented, unstructured, different, and yet popular vision, and hopes to awaken our senses in the search for her works. When a face, an animal, a landscape, or any other subject is removed from its linear structure, it acquires a completely different form, a different identity, dimension, and a new prestige. One does not recognize it at first sight; it emerges as the very process of observation. It is here that the magic occurs, as the viewer consciously discovers a work of abstract character in vivid color which plays upon the tension between the figurative and the imaginary. Schroeder's original artworks have been exhibited in galleries and art fairs internationally and have been acquired by prestigious collectors around the globe. Vibrant Alan Davie Scottish Colorful Surrealist British Pop Art Village Painting
Located in Surfside, FL
Alan Davie, Scotland (1920-2014). Gouache painting with watercolor 'Village Myth' Hand signed ('with love') lower left, 1982 Dimensions: with frame 37.5"H x 30.25"W; image, 28"H x 22.5"W. James Alan Davie (1920 – 2014) was a Scottish painter and musician. Davie was born in Grangemouth, Scotland in 1920, the son of Elizabeth (née Turnbull) and James William Davie, an art teacher and painter who exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1925. During this formative period Davie discovered the poetry of Walt Whitman and T.S. Eliot, whose prose is echoed in letters home as well as his own verses. Alan Davie studied at Edinburgh College of Art from 1937 to 1941. An early exhibition of his work came through the Society of Scottish Artists. After the Second World War, Davie played tenor saxophone in the Tommy Sampson Orchestra, which was based in Edinburgh and broadcast and toured in Europe. He also earned a living making jewellery during the postwar period. Davie began teaching basic design in the jewellery department at London’s Central School of Arts and Crafts led by the Scottish artist William Johnstone, where colleagues included artists Nigel Henderson, Eduardo Paolozzi, Richard Hamilton and Patrick Heron. In 1961, Davie’s jewellery was featured in The International Exhibition of Modern Jewellery at London’s Goldsmith’s Hall, a milestone in the history of jewellery making in Britain where an impressive roster of international and British artists including Alexander Calder, Naum Gabo, Victor Pasmore and John McHale...

Marie Blue - Vibrant Pop Art Figurative Painting Original
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Alea Pinar Du Pre's original mixed media artworks portray human figures in a graphic pop-realist style. An enterprising autodidact merging technology and fine art, her vibrant contemporary pop-figurative artworks colorfully explore the territory between human reality and artificial reality. Her paintings portray the fact that our perceptions of solid reality are deceptively virtual. This unique collage is a part of her "Snapshot" series, as she explains: "We consist of the same atoms, created billions of years ago in a supernova. And here we are living and breathing and experiencing life, and we think we are all so different. I think we are all the same, it’s just that are masks and poses are different. I love humanity and this game we are playing. With snapshot, I am trying to capture the unawareness of the fact that we are the greatest wonder of the universe". This one-of-a-kind 61.5-inch high by 36-inch wide artwork depicts the portrait of a female figure on a white background. Pinar Du Pre's fusion of materials - acrylics, printed elements, and layers of gilt captured under an epoxy lens - represents the layered reality she aims to depict. The sides of this canvas are painted as a continuation of the front and it does not require framing. Pinar Du Pre has signed, titled, and dated this original artwork on the back of the canvas and stamped it on the front. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Building on the synthetic intensity of digital art, her figurative style depicts a familiar but warped daily life. Alea Pinar Du Pre has been influenced deeply by the traditional fine art...

Pink Summer - Original Iconic Architecture Inspired Painting
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Kathleen Keifer's original artworks represent one of the most significant expressions of New California Realism. Keifer brings a fresh perspective to her colorful scenes of everyday life in the sun along the Pacific coastline (and beyond). Her detailed paintings show us the breathtaking California scenery with its recognizable elements in a new light and with a keen eye for clever composition and layered colors. Her modern landscapes and sublime seascapes capture an impressive visceral visual. This one-of-a-kind 20-inch high by 16-inch wide and 1.5-inch deep artwork is a composition created with acrylic paint on canvas. It is stretched, wired, and ready to hang. The sides are painted blue and it does not require framing. It is signed by the artist on the front of the artwork. A certificate of authenticity issued by the gallery is included. Convenient local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and global shipping are available. Kathleen Keifer is a California-based internationally collected artist. Her paintings invite the viewer to consider the complex relationship between time and timelessness. It is the sheer visual interaction between the elements, taken in their bare simplicity that interests her. Water, sky, and architecture change their appearance with the shifts in weather and light. Her broken brushstrokes depict light and color in luminous waves, dissolving form into a shimmering surface of vibrant light. For her, painting captures the very essence of time and its passage. While painting landscapes she became fascinated with isolating the objects in her paintings. She believes that actual sites and places have individual magic. The goal is to take objects from popular culture and paint them in a new context. She began to paint the silhouette of the Life Guard Tower more as a pop art symbol than a landscape element. With a high level of technical virtuosity, Keifer creates a new sense of reality with textures and colors that seem to add lighting effects and distinct shadows, confronting the viewer with new interpretations of familiar objects. Born and raised in Chicago, Kathleen Keifer is a second-generation artist. Her mother, also a fine artist, exposed Keifer to the world of art and supervised her training from a very early age. This legacy continues today as Keifer closely nurtures the development of the artistic leaning in each of her three daughters, inspiring a third generation of female artists. Her works are represented by Artspace Warehouse Los Angeles and have been exhibited and collected internationally, including Chicago, New York, and London.
