About the Item

Amazing double sided Original Artwork by Al Diaz. Al Diaz is also famous for being the other half of 70’s- 80’s SAMO© duo along with Jean Michel Basquiat. One side has Far Too Embarrassing to Admit. Other side is hand illustrated with quote by Diaz, “SAMO©… AS AS AN END TO MASS PRODUCED INDIVIDUALITY….” which the artist added in 2016. Signed on bottom right tile side with AL DIAZ 2015 in black marker. This artwork was also exhibited at his show in NYC in 2015. The Far Too Embarrassing side is made on tile board and cut alphabets reminiscent of the Wet Paint signs found in NYC subways reworked by Diaz. This original mixed media artwork is based on the anagram messages Diaz was pasting in NYC subways graffiti style around the time this artwork was produced.
