About the Item
Opus 110 is part of the 'Endless Line' series. They consist in pure line, pure universal energy; visualizations of sound, perfect frequencies. Observe: the pen glides across the paper; an elegant, confident gesture, the starting point will also be the ending point. Energy becomes line and condenses into a visible trace where curves and straight lines wind and intersect in a path that has the duration of a breath. The point is reached, the line closes and the energy can now flow along the new trace endlessly.
The endless lines are interactive artworks that require the intervention of the viewer to activate the sound and frequency that appear on the surface of the work.

Born in Milan, from an early age Anna showed an innate attraction to drawing and colors. After graduating (Maestra d'Arte) from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, she began her career in the lively and stimulating Milanese art scene. Her works were immediately received with enthusiasm by critics and the market.
Never satisfied with success, Anna Pennati ceaselessly continued her personal and artistic journey in search of the perfect synthesis.
She thus went through various stylistic phases: a draughts woman of rare skill, she soon broke away from the academic style to approach forms and colors where the graphic layout dominated the scene, with distortions of the figure that slowly tried to free itself.
There followed a phase in which the work was born from the canvas. In other words, the initial application of color was followed by the recognition of shapes and figures that the artist slowly brought to the surface from the depths of her mind.
In 2001 she participated in the Artexpo in New York and subsequently worked in London. The Artspace Galleries, Mayfair, one of the most prestigious art venues in the English capital, was her reference point/ address for that period.
In Milan she met Valery Giscard D'Estaing, former French president; a man of refined culture, who bought one of the portraits Anna Pennati dedicated to him.
Anna Pennati is an artist addressed to the international art world, in her 25-year career she has participated in over 50 exhibitions in private galleries and museum spaces, including the Museum of Capuchin Cultural Heritage of Assisi, Miart in Milan, Artspace Galleries in London and the Northwest Sezession in Wilhelmshaven (Germany).
Pennati cleverly switches from one subject to another with great range, from time to time using a style and a technique more appropriate to the particular purpose she sets. In general, her preferred medium is acrylic on canvas, which makes the strong signs prevail, alongside color, which is the absolute protagonist of her semi abstract paintings.
In the latest works, forms, colors and lines continuously chase each other, sometimes "collaborating," sometimes "excluding" each other to arrive at artworks where the research is aimed at the archetype of ideas. The works are thus the essential expression of thought and dialogue with the viewer both visually, and mentally, allowing themselves to be slowly perceived.

Back to Itaca by Anna Pennati alchemy series - acrylic on canvas - 80x100cm
Located in Milano, MI
Return to Ithaca is part of a series of works dedicated to the myth of the Odyssey.
Anna Pennati has always been attentive to the theme of mythology, a subject on which she has developed a large number of works.
Stylistically, the work falls among the artist's Alchemy, where the human form slowly disappears to make way for abstract forms that are actually the sublimation of figures.
We can in fact see Ulysses here not only as a man, but in his entire evocative power, his archetypal.
The return to Ithaca actually represents the return to our deepest origin.
Important work that has been shown in several exhibitions and is now exceptionally made available for the market.

Crazy Lines II - Large Textured Abstract Painting
By Petra Rös-Nickel
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Petra Rös-Nickel’s original paintings merge playful forms, bright colors and architectural compositions in oil and mixed media on canvas. Her contemporary artworks contain rich textures and patterns, referencing popular European textile design of the fifties and sixties. Rös-Nickel’s work translates the geometric and organic elements of an era which hoisted the flags of modernism and which, due to a trend to return to a rather retro style, has become topical once more.
This 55 inch high by 35 inch wide contemporary oil painting is wired and ready to hang. The sides of this artwork are painted and it does not require framing. This one-of-a-kind painting is signed by the artist on the back. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable U.S. and global shipping options available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included.
Petra was born 1963 in Wathlingen near Celle, Germany, and breaks completely new ground with her abstract forms of painting and expression. After studying fashion design at the professional school for clothing in Bremen, 1980, Petra Rös-Nickel changed her field of study to architecture in Eckernförde, 1982. She now lives in Hamburg, Germany. Preferring the creative aspects of the studies to the technical ones, the artist developed the basics of her painting, never denying the roots of applied design and soon ending in a refreshing, distinctive style.
Petra Rös-Nickel experiments with form, along with the use of a technique that draws attention to the processes used in creating a painting. Essential is the color space presented in multiple layers that offers the beholder access to more profound color planes. These details, scratchings, and rubbings lead to various elements of tension, such as “patchwork” or harmonious-contemplative forms (“windows”) and “oscillating lines”.
Rös-Nickel's modernist paintings develop an energetic impact on the space they‘re displayed in, conveying her joy of life and self-confidence. Her abstract geometric textured artworks have been exhibited and collected worldwide, including Germany, Belgium, USA, Canada, Singapore and Hong Kong. Notable collectors include Chris Rock...
