About the Item
The love for nature and the environment has always been a source of inspiration for Anushka's work. This artwork was inspired by a particular tree that caught her eye - its beauty, resilience and the unique contrast of yellow leaves against the dark sky immediately captivated her. However, the piece represents more than just this tree. It embodies all the trees that the artist has ever loved and all the ways in which nature has touched her life.
To create this masterpiece, she used a unique technique of painting multiple artworks and cutting them up to weave them back together. The process of weaving to her is meditative and transformative, allowing the artist to connect with her inner world. She explored her emotions and allowed them to be expressed through this artwork. The result is a tapestry of colors and textures that reflects the dichotomy of the simplicity and diversity of the natural world. In the work she used gold leaf to bring out the brilliance of nature.
The dimensions of 118 x 84 cm are that of the artwork only, excluding the size of the frame. Choice of white, black or timber coloured frame.
