About the Item
Poetic Art Statement: "Oceano Dreams of Love Everlasting." The natural world plays a central role in my original artwork. Richly layered abstract 3-D seascape painting, full of complex color and form, and melted silver leaf. Art mediums including eco-friendly oils, professional acrylics, semi-precious pigments, organic beach sand, and tiny recycled glass particles. This series also includes 3-D beach shells which have been embedded in an archival solution, crushed seashell particles, as well as found objects in the form of shell fragments. I also utilized international textures including Japanese crushed shell mediums and textures from Italy. This piece has been coated with a UV matte varnish and can be hung in direct light for an even more metallic effect, or track lighting for additional mystical-light effects at night. Edges are painted to match front and no frame is needed. Created in plein air on the beach of my dreams behind the Montage Hotel Laguna and finishing touches in my studio.
