Abstract Painting on Wood -- Untitled (In Green)

2004

About the Item

The artist executes this mixed media piece on wood with color and textured, distressed markings. Green is the color that predominates, from intense to pale, with some turquoise and yellow included. The distressed markings are achieved in part with scratches on the wood and black markings, that seem to underscore the broad brush gestures. This mixed media piece is signed by the artist on the back. Carolyn Bardos is an artist, writer and dramatist who lives in Vermont where she maintains a studio. She has been recognized as a gifted artist of intensity and depth. Bardos has exhibited in Europe and throughout the Northeast.
