About the artist:
Painter and engraver, The different techniques used in the creation of her artwork are based on the superimposition of several layers of paint and collages.
Scribbled pieces of old paper, composed of different calligraphies, on
which ink, pastel and watercolor are found, harmoniously create texture and layers of
color.

About the artist: Matt Glavin was born in Portland, Oregon, in 1926. He earned his BFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts (now the California College of the Arts) in Oakland, CA, and his MFA from Mills College, also in Oakland, in 1960. He taught at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1962 to 1966 and from 1977 to 1983 before relocating to coastal Oregon, where he continues to work. Glavin has exhibited extensively in the U.S. and abroad, including France, Japan, and with the traveling International Institute of Experiemental Printmaking show which visited cities thoughout the U.S. from 1975 to 1978.
