Clara - Voyant

2023

About the Item

This piece titled "Clara - Voyant" is an original artwork made from paper, resin, and quartz on wood by Danielle Krysa. This piece is shipped with the pictured wooden frame and measures 20”h x 16”w. My recent collages are all about spells, alchemy and the power of witchy women — Clara (Voyant), and Velma (Voodoo Guru), for example! Armed with ingredients like quartz, moths, and snakes, it’s probably best not to ‘mansplain’ anywhere near them.

The piece measures 14" x 11.5" x 1.5". Jay Riggio, a self-taught visual artist, was born in Long Island, New York in 1978. We Are The Earth
By Elsa Marie Keefe
Located in Brooklyn, NY
We are the Earth is comprised of a photograph, acrylic paint, found objects in nature (bones, leaves, flowers, stones, crystals) and resin. The base materials for the work consist of a wooden paneled canvas that provides the platform for the adhesion of a rolled photographic canvas, a fine art photography print. The canvas print, in this case a double exposure digital photograph, is adhered to the wood using a clear acrylic varnish. Acrylic Paint is added along with the objects that I found in nature, which are all placed in a careful and meticulous fashion, finally cemented in resin. This specific piece of art was my first large scale piece of its kind, created in my studio in Brooklyn in 2019. This piece was inspired by the colors of my travels, the deserts, trees, mountains and sunsets. The human depicted is myself, it is a self-portrait captured in Great Sand Dunes...

We relaxed in the sunlight and then dove underwater, finding this cave like structure. The light beams flooding through the sacred water, I took some photos and created this piece so that the majestic light will always continue to shine. I added a natural coral plant...
