In another first for the George Thornton Gallery, we’re proud to present “It’s a Gas, Gas, Gas” from master mosaicist Ed Chapman’s ‘Smash Hits’ series.
This is the Mosaic Man’s tribute to the classic 'Hot Lips' logo and songs of rock perennials the Rolling Stones. And what better way to pay homage to founder members and soon-to-be octogenarians Mick and Keith than a unique art work created using the very songs they wrote together?
It’s no exaggeration to say this mosaic is unlike any other, cleverly combining regal rock music with Modern Pop Art. His Satanic Majesty Prince Jones would doubtless smile at this delightful way to acknowledge the band he began and at 85x85cm, “It’s A Gas, Gas, Gas” is a real talking point and a certainty to transform any wall space for the better.
