Inner Reflection is a painting that celebrates the seasons and the patience that is necessary for sustainable growth. Just like weeding and planting in a garden, there’s a season for quiet time and contemplation. Time that strengthens commitment and hope. The weeding and planting of the inner world that will revitalize the soul again in the spring and summer.
Influenced by Japanese ink painting, Emily Kame Kngwarreye and many others, Elin Kereby seeks to create pieces that are light, yet contain depth, and give an impression of movement. Before she became a professional painter, she worked in the finance industry for 13 years. The contrast as well as the connection between the mind, body and the soul are common themes that she explores through her work.
