About the Item

**LIMITED TIME SUPER SALE - TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT** 'NATURE BEING' is one of those original masterpieces filled with meaning and symbolism. Gal Lahat was born in Israel of Israeli mother and Egyptian father. Both parents were abusive to him. At age 18, he escaped Israel and was finally free of the horrendous abuses, both physical/sexual and mental. He ended up first in Greece for a year or so, then he moved to France and lived in Paris for a few years mastering his artistic skills. After 3 years in Paris he lived another couple years in London before moving permanently to the USA in his mid twenties. His 'demons' never moved out of him, followed him around the globe and he struggled with 17 different personalities. Most likely due to the abuses he endured from his own parents since tender age. He mastered many techniques from oil, charcoal, mixed media, sculptures, etc. And he believed each art technique was made separately by one of his 17 different personalities. "Nature Being" was completed in 2010, 3 years before his death in 2013. He considered it to be his self portrait while escaping Israel at age 18. As if he was finally in control of nature, his body and his future. Note the birds flying from his head outwards. The special frame with gold leaf was hand picked by him and it's alone worth over $2500. The richness of colors and details attached to his personal life journey is a masterpiece for the art lover and savvy collector that will for sure enrich your place with harmony and peace at last. The piece was part of his personal collection, it's in excellent shape and now available for sale by his state. Gal Larat was tired of fighting his 'demons' and passed away in 2013 at age 49. He passed away in his sleep of natural causes. He is now free at least in Heaven making paintings with other angels.
