About the Item
Vibrant, large-scale multimedia artworks incorporate reflective mediums and thick textures in Kate Tova's recent work. Colors splash across the page melding into flourishes of sequins, rhinestones, and glitter. The natural beauty of her subjects is juxtaposed against the "engine of technology" inspiring personal and innovative compositions. Surreal and vibrant, Tova's work thematically and stylistically layers her life experiences.
This 40-inches square artwork is a hand-embellished giclee on canvas. Hand-embellishment involves the application of additional paint or other materials onto the surface of the giclee print by the artist. By adding these personalized touches, the hand-embellished giclee becomes a one-of-a-kind piece.
The artwork is signed by the artist on the front and the back. Free local Los Angeles delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included with this unique work.
Bringing forth inspiration from her varied experiences Tova is inspired by the layers of her life's experiences. From the lavishly gilded architecture of her early years to the vibrant palette of New Orleans, Tova now works in San Fransisco where themes of her work draw from technology and the Information Era.
Kate has earned awards and critical acclaim participating in art exhibitions in Vienna, Berlin, New York, Prague and other cities around the world. Tova’s commissions have ranged from ceiling and wall murals in Moscow restaurants to live painting performances at fundraisers and venues such as the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. Her art has appeared on the covers of foreign music records, been published in international magazines, and even inspired a jewelry collection.

Fils I Colors DCXXVII - Colorful Mixed Media Abstract Vibrant Artwork on Canvas
By Raul de la Torre
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Barcelona artist Raul de la Torre's vibrant abstract mixed media artworks pay homage to the material. De La Torre allows the materials to take over during the process and collaborates with the unexpected to create works that speak to the natures of dynamism and unity. Experimentation with different materials, textures, and techniques in each of his paintings has been a point of discovery and a major part of Raul de la Torre’s work. In his Fils I Colors series he attempts to find the third dimension through the use of different materials.
The interaction between the artist, gravity, and the paint is important for the final result. A tilting technique permits the paint to be a major architect of the final result, giving it a life of its own. It results in infinite and timeless color combinations. In many cases, the different layers of color each represent a temporary state of mind, time, and even feelings, places, and people. Some of them are embroidered forever in our memory turning to form part of our DNA. To represent the firmness and strength of that past the cotton is mixed with the paint in the works to form a unity.
This colorful 30 inch high by 48 inch wide original artwork on canvas is wired and ready to hang. Embroidery provides another layer as it creates thick shadows with organic shapes. De la Torre makes horizontal cuts on the canvas or paper and covers these open areas using color-matching cotton thread. When combined with light, these shapes create a more dynamic surface and offer different views of the work to various observers. The sides of this artwork are painted white and it does not require framing. It is signed and dated by the artist in the lower right corner as well as on the back.
Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included.
Raul de la Torre was born in Barcelona in 1964 and attended Massana Art School. About the Fils series, de la Torre remarks: “FILS I COLORS is an attempt to find life, movement, and parts that are not static, that change in their interaction with the observer. The different combinations of colors represent different emotions and interpretations for each individual interacting with the works.”
Raul de la Torre's artworks can be found in the collections of The Four Seasons Abu Dhabi, the Tropicana Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, the Rothschild Family Collection, and varying Hilton properties. His works have been exhibited and collected worldwide, including in New York, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles.
Artspace Warehouse has been representing and exhibiting Raul de la Torre's original artworks since 2010. The gallery has been a 1stdibs partner since 2014 with consistently excellent reviews from clients worldwide. Samara II
By Alea Pinar Du Pre
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Alea Pinar Du Pre's original mixed media artworks portray human figures in a graphic pop-realist style. An enterprising autodidact merging technology and fine art, her vibrant contemporary pop-figurative artworks colorfully explore the territory between human reality and artificial reality. Her paintings portray the fact that our perceptions of solid reality are deceptively virtual. This unique collage is a part of her "Snapshot" series, as she explains:
"We consist of the same atoms, created billions of years ago in a supernova. And here we are living and breathing and experiencing life, and we think we are all so different. I think we are all the same, it’s just that are masks and poses are different. I love humanity and this game we are playing. With snapshot, I am trying to capture the unawareness of the fact that we are the greatest wonder of the universe".
This one-of-a-kind 47 inch high by 62 inch wide artwork depicts the portrait of a female figure. Pinar Du Pre's fusion of materials - acrylics, printed elements, and layers of gilt captured under an epoxy lens - represents the layered reality she aims to depict. The sides of this canvas are painted as a continuation of the front and it does not require framing. Pinar Du Pre has signed, titled, and dated this original artwork on the back of the canvas.
Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included.
Building on the synthetic intensity of digital art, her figurative style depicts a familiar but warped daily life. Alea Pinar Du Pre has been influenced deeply by the traditional fine art and design practices of Kunstlerhaus and Wiener Werkstaette, two artist societies with roots in Vienna, Austria. Paying tribute to her main influences, Alea describes her style as "Jugendstil Pop-Art". But where Pop art was stimulated by the iconography of materialism and the mass culture of its time, her vision is more intimate in its subversive intent.
Alea Pinar Du Pre lives and works in Vienna, Austria. Her artworks are exhibited and collected in international hot spots across Europe, Asia, and North America.
