About the Item

Artist: , Kozo Title: We’re All Mad Here Date: 2025 Medium: Lithograph and mixed media with tattoo ink on paper Unframed Dimensions: 54.5" x 40" Framed Dimensions: 60" x 45" Signature: Pencil signed Edition: Unique Variant out of edition of 15 Kozo is a young artist famous for his colored micro-realism tattoos. He developed a quick fascination of art, beginning as a student of the arts through his elementary years, drawing, sculpting and painting for years before trying a new sort of canvas— human skin. Kozo picked up a tattoo machine for the first time at 17 and hasn't quit since. He is self-taught, and his first clients were his willing friends in his own bedroom, with a machine he bought off of eBay. In 2020, after seven years of practice, he moved to New York City to pursue his dreams and currently works at Bang Bang Tattoo. He is known to have inked many high profile celebrities, making him one of the most celebrated and biggest names in the tattoo industry. He has become a worldwide sensation, with over one million followers on Instagram. Now, Kozo returns to his origins as an artist. He brings his pop culture tattoo designs that took social media by storm back to traditional mediums such as canvas and paper, to create unique, one-of-a-kind masterpieces for each client. His art is known for its steady lines, smooth gradients, precise detail, and gorgeous micro tattoo creations. His designs are said to be minimalistic as he believes less is more, but aims to tell stories and bridge connections among people and cultures. He is inspired by traditional painters such as Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Jacques-Louis David for their paintings, as well as their persistence and work ethic. He also derives much inspiration from traveling, specifically to South Korea and is heavily influenced by Korean culture and artists. He has mastered this style and continues to learn from Old Masters, up-and-coming artists and new experiences, becoming a leader in the current culture of contemporary art. All designs are original and limited edition.

Exploration
By Tony Dagradi
Located in New Orleans, LA
medium: hardcover book, acrylic varnish My decades-long career in contemporary jazz directly informs my work as a visual artist.  Music, for me, has always had a visual component, with the diverse elements of music suggesting colors, shapes, and textures.  The juxtaposition of abstract shapes which come together as I work on a book, is very much how I perceive the interplay of melody, harmony, and rhythm. Improvisation is also key to my approach in both genres.  Within a jazz ensemble...
