About the Item

The war, cruelty, racism, political games, the age of gluttony in consumption, making money and of course the race for youth and beauty, when it’s hard to find out who you are and what your true destiny is ... this is how we being fed by the modern world with all these energies. Interior design paintings. Abstraction art, collage made in yellow, light blue, black and white. Lena Chernyavskaya / LENA CHER Born in 1986. She lives and works in Moscow and Los Angeles. An interior designer by education, she was fond of watercolor painting at the university; she painted landscapes, portraits and nudes. Lena also built a successful career as a model and actress in Russia, she graduated from the German Drama School of Drama, having completed acting and directing course. Now, in parallel with art, she acts in films, TV shows, commercial advertising and plays in the immersiveness of the theater. Two and a half years ago, Lena decided to continue her development in painting, turning to ultra-modern techniques of liquid acrylic (liquid technique) and alcoholic ink, as well as using epoxy resin to create strong visual effects. Lena's artistic search field intersects between two vectors - randomness and the desire for harmony. It all starts with the definition of a balanced formula. The artist chooses color combinations and outlines the composition of the future picture. The necessary freedom is provided by the limitless possibilities of the genre of abstraction and the flexibility of liquid technology. Experimenting with effects, Lena is trying to create organic textures that repeat the movement of natural elements.

"Nasturtium, Diptych" is an abstract diptych painting of two potted plants. On the lefthand canvas the background is painted a thin hookers green and resin was poured over the top. The potted flower is painted over the resin, sitting on a white stippled table with a thick yellow edge. Yellow stipples are painted around the plant. The righthand painting has intentionally exposed canvas soft smudges of green paint through the middle of the canvas and navy up in the upper lefthand corner, at the middle of the composition. A heavy impasto flower...
