Mirror, When the Pieces Fit

2022

About the Item

This work embraces when the pieces fit accessing the what one needs to achieve their goals. Simon Sinek (b. 1973), "Start with Why" inspired the artists in creating this work. Starting with the why, viewers are assisted figuring out the what. Hard work yes is imperative and so is tapping into one's higher purpose, that being the why. In discovering the what doors open and just like Alice in Wonderland when the key fits, the world becomes accessible. Another dimension, another level, another awareness even another world. Life doesn't always fall into place and can be frustrating. But there are times when you feel the flow and answers come with ease. The reflection in the mirrored puzzle pieces and keyhole show where you are and where you are trying to go. This Metalamirror™ work channels the artist duo's message through their revolutionary medium comprised of the first layer of handmade Metalagram® and a second aligned layer of hand-made silver mirror. The artist's work, made with their original artist processes, demonstrates philosopher Marshall McLuhan's theorem, "The medium is the message'".
