Contemporary surrealistic mixed media collage by Texas based artist Melissa Grimes. The work features hands layered on each other to create multiple faces with chess pieces and other paraphernalia floating in the background. Currently hung in a light wood frame with a white matting. The work retains the original tag from the artist's studio on the reverse.

Artist Biography: Melissa Grimes is a professional artist and illustrator in Austin, Texas. She lives in a very old house full of my collections of vintage ephemera: old books, magazines, toys and old printed matter of all kinds.
