"Bougainvillea XX" is a framed mixed media work on canvas by Meredith Pardue, depicting organic, overlapping shapes in vibrant hues of green, blue, pink, red and earthy tones. The watercolor-like textures and organic shapes create a sense of fluidity and natural movement, reminiscent of petals, stones, or aquatic formations. The soft, off-white background enhances the luminous quality of the colors, allowing the forms to feel weightless and dynamic.
This piece is finished in a silver scoop floater frame with a white-washed woodgrain effect on the frame’s interior and sides. Price includes pictured frame. Unframed dimensions are 48 x 48 inches.
About the artist: Born in Monroe, LA, Meredith Pardue is an acclaimed contemporary artist whose work is widely recognized for its abstract botanical forms and scenes derived from nature. Upon receiving a B.F.A. from Savannah College of Art & Design in Georgia, she was accepted and completed her M.F.A. at Parsons School of Design in New York. Following her art studies and education, Pardue travelled extensively across the US, finding and drawing inspiration from the varied regions and coasts of the South, Pacific Northwest, and Northeast.
Today, Pardue’s work continues to gain critical acclaim and is prominently displayed in several private and notable corporate collections. Her work has been exhibited worldwide and has been published in a variety of periodicals.
