Miquel Barceló
Miquel Barceló makes abstract, mixed-media paintings that capture the diversity of the natural world and reflect his extensive travels. Like Pablo Picasso and Francisco de Goya before him, the artist pushes the boundaries of representation. His hazy white canvases, for example, capture the light rebounding off the Sahara. On a canvas installed at the United Nations headquarters, a multicolored dome of stalactite forms evokes the sea and a cave. Thickly impastoed works translate the dynamism and energy of bullfighting rings into warm hues. Barceló gives these works their signature tactility as he incorporates unconventional materials such as homemade pigments, volcanic ash, seaweed, and river sediment. He has exhibited widely in cities around the world, and in 2009, he represented Spain at the Venice Biennale. His work has sold for seven figures at auction and belongs to many prestigious collections around the world, including the Centre Pompidou, the Museo Reina Sofía, the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Barceló has also made sculptures and installations.

By Sheila Elias
Located in Surfside, FL
Titled: Calabash Hand signed, dated and titled.
Sheila Elias (born in Chicago, Illinois) is an American artist. Her work is Neo Expressionist, Feminist Pop Art. Her works have been featured in exhibitions across North America and at the Liberty show at the Louvre Museum in Paris.
Elias graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago, lives and works in Miami, Florida and in New York City. As an artist and art historian, Elias works with the layers of life and art history, seeking in it a connection between art aesthetics and social consciousness. She has exhibited with diverse artists, Larry Rivers, Bob Stanley, Ford Crull, Sol LeWitt, Mark Tobey, Walter Darby Bannard, Clyde Butcher. Her work spans the disciplines of painting, digital mixed media, sculpture, installation and performance.
Her inspiration to be an artist began with the work that Matisse created (La Cirque) in the library of the Art Institute of Chicago. Paul Wieghardt (from the Bauhaus School in Germany), was her art teacher at SAIC. She was influenced by the Marisol, Claes Oldenburg and Jean Dubuffet. Her sculptures also reveal the influence of Andy Warhol and Robert Rauschenberg. We also have a work from her Pompidou Series (1979-1981) built around the X in the raw, exposed architecture of the Centre Georges Pompidou in the center of Paris designed by Richard Rodgers and Renzo Piano.

Original Colorful Pink Birds Flowers Expressionist Painting - This Is My Jungle
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Urban abstract expressionism artist Tommy Lennartsson draws on the visual culture of street and pop art when creating his original vibrant mixed-media artworks. He employs a mix of abstract and figurative elements that give nods to neo-expressionism, faux-naїf, pop, and geometric abstraction schools of art. Lennartsson builds up his canvases with charcoal, acrylic, ink, and spray paint, and occasionally sews and stitches elements together to create striking scenes that ignite the viewer’s imagination.
This one-of-a-kind 47-inch high by 59-inch wide original artwork is stretched, wired, and ready to hang. The sides of this artwork are painted and it does not require framing. The artist signs it on the back of the painting. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included.
Color interactions and the interplay of light and darkness are important to Lennartsson. By combining materials such as found fabrics Lennartsson creates a patchwork with different elements for his expressionist canvases. The unique and playful compositions range from geometrical forms to figures, objects, and pop culture icons layered over fluid gestural expressions. Because of his intuitive style, no two works are the same, each exploring something fresh and exciting.
“When I look at my paintings, I’m taken back to my childhood of endless doodling on my bedroom floor,” the artist describes.
His work has been featured in the Spanish arts and culture magazine Lamono and was selected as the cover art for the Spring 2019 issue of New England Review. Lennartsson has exhibited extensively in both group and solo shows worldwide, including in the US, Canada, Europe, Japan, and China.
