About the Item

Inspired by contemporary fashion, Nilraya Bundasak’s colorful textile paintings celebrate adornment and individuality through the application of fabric and embroidery to canvases of re-purposed materials. Inspired by the beauty and uniqueness that fashion offers, as well as the emotional dynamism of femininity, she creates large-scale works resplendent with bright luxurious fabrics and detailed stitching. This one-of-a-kind textile artwork measures 21-inches high by 19-inches wide. It is stretched as a traditional canvas and is wired and ready to hang. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included with this original textile work. Bundasak says about this artwork "This artwork is about women and beauty. I want to show the external values of people in this artwork and focus on what makes them look good. I portray women with clothes and colors instead of women's emotions to show their acceptance in an open society. Their recognition needs to be expressed in diverse contexts. I want to convey that they must be beautiful all the time, whether sitting or standing. Women and colors are easy to recognize with the various threads I use. As a woman artist, I like to reflect on the importance of the beauty of a diversity of clothes in today's society as a recognition of the women that wear them." Award-winning textile artist Nilraya Bundasak was born in 1992 in Khon Kaen, Thailand. Bundasak received her MFA from Sipakorn University. She now has a studio in Bangkok. Bundasak has won multiple consecutive awards for her large-scale embroidery, including the Young Artists Talent Award, 3rd place in the 18th Panasonic Contemporary Painting Competition, and three White Elephant Art Awards. Her work is a catalog of evolving fashion trends but also highlights environmental consciousness. Bundasak’s works approach recycling and sustainable garment use with a positive attitude. Filled with intimate details, Bundasak’s textural collages are dynamic, vibrant, and express a personal love for clothing and adornment. Bobby - Large Scale Colorful Original Pop Art Textured Portrait Artwork
By Alea Pinar Du Pre
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Alea Pinar Du Pre's original mixed media artworks portray human figures in a graphic pop-realist style. An enterprising autodidact merging technology and fine art, her vibrant contemporary pop-figurative artworks colorfully explore the territory between human reality and artificial reality. Her paintings portray the fact that our perceptions of solid reality are deceptively virtual. This unique collage is a part of her "Snapshot" series, as she explains: "We consist of the same atoms, created billions of years ago in a supernova. And here we are living and breathing and experiencing life, and we think we are all so different. I think we are all the same, it’s just that are masks and poses are different. I love humanity and this game we are playing. With snapshot I am trying to capture the unawareness of the fact that we are the greatest wonder of the universe". This one-of-a-kind 68 inch tall by 52 inch wide vertical artwork includes bright neon colors and sparkle. Pinar Du Pre's fusion of materials - acrylics, printed elements, and layers of gilt captured under an epoxy lens - represents the layered reality she aims to depict. The sides of this canvas are painted metallic and it does not require framing. Pinar Du Pre has signed, titled, and dated this original artwork...

Frida - Embroidered Image with thread
Located in New York, NY
Villa is a textile, installation and street artist. Her work primarily explores interconnection. Among her themes are the visionaries creating positive change throughout history, pop culture, social causes, and our reconnection with nature. Influenced by history, culture and human relationships in a fragmented post-digital world, the bold dynamism of her work is revealed in uncut thread. It lends a surreal and unfinished aesthetic that reflects the importance of acceptance of change, evolution and imperfection. Villa’s approach to textile is sensitive and intuitive. She draws inspiration from the craftsmanship and the textile traditions in Mexico and from across cultures, but uses textiles...
