About the Item
The ichthus, from the Greek, is a symbol consisting of two intersecting arcs, the ends of the right side extending beyond the meeting point so as to resemble the profile of a fish. The symbol was adopted by early Christians as a secret symbol. Over time symbol became public and known as the “sign of the fishâ€. One of a kind mixed media manipulated digitally on canvas. Elegant, the heavyweight canvas is treated with multiple layers of acrylic and varnish to match the shades of the digital art. The digital file is then transferred onto this processed background, and enhanced. Aged by sanding to create visual metaphors. Varied ink movements, brushing, sanding, and varnishing create the final rich effect. Size: 50X44†Signed dated and stamped on the front.
