Spencer Merolla
Editorialized_NYT Commission

2017

$300

About

"Editorialized" is a commissioned piece by Brooklyn talent, Spencer Merolla. Merolla intricately sews and crafts newspaper using fabric which has been worn in mourning (in this case an antique moire dress and lace). Each commission represents the artist "editorializing" the emotional experience of reading the day's news grafted back on to the paper itself. No two "Editorialized" pieces are alike. These images of the commissions the artist has created thus far give you, the buyer, a sense of what your completed piece could look like.
