"The Great Cake Caper of 2019 happened in the early morning hours while the moon was still out on a Tuesday," says artist Andrea Doss. "The thieves made off with a large three-tiered birthday cake, using a scooter as a getaway vehicle. If you see either of these suspicious characters, please report them to your nearest bakery! They may be covered with crumbs and icing. Approach with caution."
About the Artist
Andrea Doss discovered that there were stories hiding in her paintbrush, and has been bringing them to life with her art ever since. Her paintings capture the essence of children’s books and lullabies. Andrea’s love for fairytales and storytelling is evident in her personification of animal friendships and activities. Adventurous, sweet, and whimsical are appropriate words to describe the artist’s fanciful characters. Andrea lives in Texas and works from her home, always closely supervised by her opinionated one-eyed cat named Poe.

"After a seemingly eternal summer, five little birds snug in their nest, silently enduring the chill and wind," describes artist Jessica JH Roller. About the Artist
A few months after Jessica JH Roller and her husband were married, they adopted two young Siamese cats from a shelter -- Tony and Larry. Jessica quickly fell deeply in love with the kittens and says the cats changed her. "They opened my eyes - I started to notice birds, trees, water, color, everything. It was as if the artist inside had been unleashed.†Jessica uses bold colors and primitive linework to create whimsical, expressive portraits. She intends to capture real or imagined moments that are both common and extraordinary.
