Artist Carey Parks illustrates a crowd of pedestrians crossing the street. She captures the image on a bright and sunny but cold Saturday in New York City. "The high contrast and patterns made by the cast shadows are what inspired me to paint this on canvas," shares Carey. The piercing interplay of light and shadow on the crosswalk creates a compelling contrast.
