Artist Carole Moore finds encouragement and renewal in the vigor of bamboo. Strong, fast-growing, and versatile, this piece shows a stand of the flowering plant in the San Francisco Botanical Gardens. The grove surrounds a pond, inviting the viewer to reach through to the tranquility beyond. "Leave the clamor of the city behind for a moment."
About the Artist
Carole Moore works as a massage therapist and finds a lot of inspiration in her various clients. Art is something she needs to do - she feels irritated when she goes without painting for too long. Oftentimes, she sits on her feet while painting and does not notice they are asleep until she tries to get up. She enjoys spending time with her family, tending her garden and rock climbing. Carole currently lives in California, but was an exchange student in Mexico and Japan and was highly influenced by both cultures.
