About the Item

MEDIUM: Original Production Cel on Original Background IMAGE SIZE: 10'x9' PRODUCTION: The New Batman Adventures EPISODE: You Scratch My Back SKU: IFA2962 ABOUT THE IMAGE: "You Scratch My Back" is the fifth episode from the first season of The New Batman Adventures and officially reintroduced two major characters: Catwoman (and her alter ego Selina Kyle, who was revealed to be a brunette), and Dick Grayson as Nightwing. The ever-manipulative Selina uses her feminine wiles to entangle the young and eager Mr. Grayson, but Batman and Batgirl are not so sure about the veracity of her motives. The New Batman Adventures is an American superhero animated television series based on the DC Comics superhero Batman, the third series in the DC Animated Universe and a continuation of the 1990s Batman: The Animated Series. It was produced by Warner Bros. Animation and aired on Kids' WB from September 13, 1997 to January 16, 1999. Stories in this series tend to give more focus to Batman's supporting cast, which include fellow crimefighters Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl, among others. ABOUT THE MEDIUM: Original production cels are one-of-a-kind pieces of art that were used in the creation of an animated film or television show. Each has been hand-painted by studio artists on a piece of celluloid acetate, and has been photographed over a background painting to create a frame of the finished production.
