Excellent condition, perfectly readable thanks to an elegant calligraphy. Original envelope included.
An exciting greeting letter, written by the Italian artist during his journey in Insbruck, and all around the Austrian beauties, museums, convents, and Treasures of Vienna. With joyful and nostalgic memories of the 1938, when he was captured by the ardent intention to enter at the hidden gardens in the Countess' Royal Villa in Marlia.
Fabrizio Clerici (Milan, 1913 - Rome, 1993)
The Italian painter, Fabrizio Clerici was a complex and eclectic artist and was also an architect, costume designer, scenographer and photographer. His works were exhibited in many museums in the United States, including the MoMA and the Guggenheim Museum, and in France, such as the Center Pompidou.His most renowned works are The Minotaur publicly accuses his mother, Sonno romano (1955); The Confessions of Palermo (1954); Minerva phlegraea (1956–57); Le Krak des Chevaliers (1968).
Countess Anna Laetitia Pecci (Rome, 1885 - Marlia, 1971)
Best-known as "Mimì" Pecci-Blunt , the Italian noblewoman was an art collector, patron and nephew of Pope Leo XIII. Extremely volcanic, she was very active in the cultural field, opening numerous lounges, galleries and theaters. In 1919 she married Cecil Blumenthal, later changed to Blunt, a wealthy Jewish banker from New York, heir to an important collection of nineteenth-century French painting. His Parisian and Roman salons was frequented by artists and intellectuals of the caliber of Salvador Dalì, Paul Valery, Poulenc, Paul Claudel, and Aldo Palazzeschi!

Suggesting theatrical mood, theatrical staging, stage, costume ideas and stage colors, intellectual references (Orson Welles and Rex Whistler), the Italian dramaturg asks the collaboration of the yung and talented costume designer, Maria De Matteis.
Under the supervision of Luchino Visconti, Gerardo Guerrieri signs the direction of Vita col padre, by Howard Lindsay and Russell Crouse (premiered on January 28, 1947, Teatro Eliseo, Rome). These letters refers to all preparations and adaptations for the theater, from the stage to the costumes.
